Motorola has launched the next generation of its bestselling Moto G (2nd Gen.) today in India. The price of Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen.) starts at ₹11,999. Motorola is offering the device in two memory variants – 8GB for ₹11,999 and 16GB for ₹12,999. It will be available starting midnight today exclusively on Flipkart.

On the specifications front, the Moto G (3rd Gen.) features the same 5 inches HD IPS display seen on the 2nd Gen. device, protected with Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3. Motorola has upgraded the camera module from last year, which now sports a 13-megapixel f/2.0 rear snapper with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera which allows for a 72 degree field of view.

The Moto G (3rd Gen.) is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU. The 8GB/16GB memory variant will have 1GB/2GB RAM respectively. There is a microSD card slot for further memory expansion up to 32GB.

Moto G (3rd Gen.) runs on Android 5.1.1 out-of-the-box.

Some new features include – IPX7 certification which makes the Moto G (3rd Gen.) dust and water resistant (up to 3 feet in water for 30 minutes). The device supports micro dual-SIM and both the slots are 4G LTE enabled. Software enhancements bring on board features such as Moto display, Quick Capture among others which were absent from the 2nd Gen device.

The device has a non-removable 2,470mAh battery which the company says will last up to 24 hours of mixed usage.

Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen.) will be available in Black and White colors with an additional 10 color Moto Shells and 5 Moto Flip Shells.

Motorola also has launch offers which include shopping vouchers, 100% Cashback, Airtel Data Plan, Moto 360 watch and exchange offers.
